In 2011, NJW Director and master bassist Roger Spencer pulled together this group for an evening called "Jazz Standards Deranged Before Your Very Eyes." With multi grammy-award winning saxophonist and Nashville icon Jeff Coffin out front - backed by Spencer, pianist Bill Altvater, and drummer Dale Armstrong - the group bent, twisted, arranged, and deranged otherwise standard tunes for no-holds-barred night of creative improvisation. There will be two sets, beginning at 8:00 pm in the Jazz Cave at the Workshop. Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 14 at 10am, and are $25 ($15 for high school and college students).
