THE VIBRATION ARTS ENSEMBLE Saxophonist Jeff Coffin is a member of Dave Matthews Band. You may also know him from his 14 years and 3 Grammy Awards he earned as a member of the legendary, genre-busting, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones (1997-2010). Jeff Coffin has amassed a collection of some of Nashvilles finest improvisers in his powerhouse group, the Vibration Arts Ensemble. This group was originally formed in the mid 1990s (previous to his current group, the Mutet) and features original, challenging, improvisational music influenced by a wide variety of styles and genres. You will likely hear influences ranging from Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Alber Ayler, African music, folk music, the blues, New Orleans, and beyond. Expect the unexpected!!
